This page sets out your consent to electronic records and signatures. When you apply with Velo Capital Funding (“Velo,” “we,” “us” or “our”), our application asks you to agree to receive disclosures and documents electronically and to sign electronically, as described here. Please read it, and keep a copy for your records.
1. What This Consent Covers
By giving this consent, you agree that we may provide electronically, and that you may sign electronically:
- the disclosures the law requires, including the written cost disclosure your state requires before you sign, whether they come from Velo or from the lender or funder providing your financing;
- your application and the authorizations in it;
- any funding offer, agreement, amendment or related document;
- notices, statements and other records about your request or your agreement.
This consent covers your current funding request and any agreement that results from it. Your electronic signature has the same effect as a handwritten one.
2. Business Purpose
You’re asking for financing for business purposes only. You give this consent for the business, as its owner or authorized officer, and for yourself to the extent you sign documents in your own name, such as an owner certification.
3. What You Need
To receive, open and keep electronic records, you need:
- a device connected to the internet;
- a current version of a common web browser, such as Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox, with JavaScript and cookies turned on;
- software that opens PDF files, such as the viewer built into your browser or device;
- an email account that you can access and that you gave us;
- enough storage to save records, or a printer to print them.
If we change these requirements in a way that could stop you from opening or keeping a record, we’ll tell you, and you can withdraw this consent without any fee.
4. How We Deliver Records
We’ll deliver records by email to the address you gave us, or by email with a link to a secure page where you can view, download and print them. A record is delivered when we send it to that address or make it available at that link and tell you.
5. Getting a Paper Copy
You can ask for a paper copy of any record we provided electronically. Email info@vcfus.com with your name, your business name and the record you need. We won’t charge you for paper copies. Asking for a paper copy doesn’t withdraw your consent.
6. Withdrawing Your Consent
You can withdraw this consent at any time by emailing info@vcfus.com. Please include your name and your business name.
If you withdraw:
- it takes effect once we’ve had a reasonable time to act on it;
- it doesn’t affect any record we delivered, or any document you signed electronically, before it took effect;
- we’ll send future records on paper, by mail, which may slow down your request, and if a step can only be completed electronically we may not be able to continue with it.
7. Keeping Your Email Address Current
Please tell us if your email address changes, by emailing info@vcfus.com from your new address or by telling your advisor. Until you do, we’ll keep sending records to the address we have.
8. Keeping Copies
You can download or print each record when you receive it. We recommend you keep a copy of every disclosure and agreement for your records.
9. Your Agreement
By checking the authorization box on our application and typing your name to sign it, you confirm that:
- you can access and keep electronic records in the ways described above;
- you agree to receive records electronically and to sign electronically, as described on this page, for this request and any agreement that results from it;
- the email address you gave us is one you can access.
