This Privacy Policy explains how Velo Capital Funding (“Velo,” “we,” “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects information when you visit vcfus.com, ask us about funding, book a call, apply, refer a business to us or otherwise deal with us.
1. Who We Are and What This Policy Covers
Velo is a commercial financing broker, not a lender. We work with a wide range of third-party lenders and funders to find financing for U.S. businesses, including same-day fundingand lines of credit, term loans, equipment financing, SBA loans, invoice factoring and home equity lines of credit. The financing we help businesses find is for business purposes only. We don’t offer financing for personal, family or household purposes.
This policy covers:
- visitors to vcfus.com;
- business owners, officers and authorized representatives who contact us, book a call or apply, and any owners or guarantors named in a request;
- people who refer a business to us or sign up to send us referrals.
It doesn’t cover the websites or apps of the funding providers, lenders or service providers we work with. Each of them has its own privacy policy.
2. Information We Collect
What we collect depends on how you use our site and services.
- Contact details. Your name, business name, email address, phone number and the state where the business is based.
- Business information. Industry, time in business, monthly revenue range, the amount you’re asking for and what it’s for, the business’s legal name, DBA and website, and anything you tell us in a message or on a call.
- Owner information at the application stage. Information about the business’s owners that we or a funding provider need to evaluate a request, verify identity and prevent fraud. This website never asks for a Social Security number, and our forms block text that looks like one. If we need sensitive identifiers, our team will collect them another way.
- Financial information. Bank and payment-processor statements and other records you or your business share with us, through the methods your advisor gives you.
- Credit and background information. With your authorization, consumer and business credit reports, UCC and lien searches, public records, and identity, fraud and sanctions checks. Our initial review uses a soft inquiry, which doesn’t affect your credit score. If you choose to move forward with an offer, a lender or funder may obtain a report that results in a hard inquiry, and we’ll tell you before that happens. Booking a call doesn’t involve a credit check.
- Communications. Emails, texts, call notes and booking details.
- Consent records. Which consent and disclosure texts you saw on our forms, their versions, the choices you made and when you made them.
- Device and usage information. Your browser’s user agent and time zone, which we include with form submissions, and the pages you visit. Our hosting provider’s servers record standard request logs, which include IP addresses.
We don’t ask for information about race, religion, national origin, sex, marital status or age, other than confirming that applicants are adults.
3. Where It Comes From
We get information from you; from the business’s owners and authorized representatives; from the person who referred you to us, if any; from credit bureaus and other data providers; from bank-data and payment-processor sources you authorize; from public records; and from the funding providers and lenders we work with on your request.
4. How We Use It
- To respond to your questions and your funding request.
- To schedule and prepare for calls with our advisors.
- To review your request, find lenders and funders whose criteria fit, and verify identity and prevent fraud.
- To submit your request to the third-party lenders and funders that may provide your financing, which evaluate, provide, service and collect it.
- To send transactional messages, such as booking confirmations and updates on your request.
- To call or text you about offers and other marketing, only if you gave that consent. It’s optional and never a condition of booking, applying or getting funding.
- To meet legal, regulatory, disclosure and recordkeeping duties, including state commercial financing laws.
- To keep our site and records secure and to improve the site.
5. How We Share It
We do not sell personal information. We do not share mobile numbers or text-message opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing.
We share information only as described here:
- Lenders and funders. When you ask us to find financing, we share your request with the lenders and funders we submit it to, for that request only. Each one makes its own decisions, may obtain its own credit reports with your authorization and has its own privacy practices.
- Credit bureaus and data providers, to obtain the reports and checks you authorized.
- The person who referred you, if any, so they know where your request stands.
- Regulators, law enforcement and courts, when the law requires it or to protect our rights, our customers or others.
- A buyer or successor, if our business is sold, merged or reorganized, subject to this policy.
- Service providers that run parts of this site and our business for us, only to provide their service. They’re listed below.
The service providers this website uses today:
| Provider | What it does for us | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Web3Forms | Delivers what you submit on our forms to our info@vcfus.com mailbox by email. | The fields you fill in, your consent choices, the page, time, time zone and browser user agent. |
| Cal.com | Our scheduling service, used when you book a call online. It creates the calendar event and sends booking emails. | Your name, email, booking notes and booking details. Your notes hold your business name, industry, mobile number and a reference number, never financial details. |
| Google Workspace | Our email and calendar, and Google Meet for video calls. | Your messages, form submissions and calendar invitations. |
| GitHub Pages | Hosts this website. | Standard server logs for each request, including your IP address and browser. |
We don’t use a website analytics service today. If we add one, it will be cookieless and we’ll name it here.
6. Cookies and Device Storage
This site doesn’t use advertising or analytics cookies. We never load advertising tags on our application or booking pages, and we honor the Global Privacy Control signal: if your browser sends it, advertising stays off.
Some features keep small pieces of information in your own browser so they work as you’d expect. That information stays on your device; we can’t read it unless you submit a form. Your unfinished application is saved this way for up to 7 days, and you can clear it at any time with Start over.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Local storage | ||
velo. | Your unfinished application, so you can pick up where you left off on this device. It never holds your SSN/SIN, your signature or your bank statements. | Up to 7 days, or until you select “Start over” or submit |
velo. | How you found us: campaign tags in the link you followed and a referral code, if the link had one. No contact details. | Up to 90 days |
velo. | The time zone you chose when booking a call. | Until you clear your browser storage |
velo. | Whether you paused the site’s animations. | Until you clear your browser storage |
| Session storage | ||
velo.velo. | A booking in progress and the numbers you entered in the funding planner, so a refresh doesn’t lose them. | Until you close the tab (a booking in progress: up to 2 hours) |
velo.velo.velo. | The confirmation you see after you apply or book, and your contact details so you don’t retype them to book a call. | Until you close the tab |
velo.velo. | Which “Can’t finish?” reminders we already showed you during your application, and the code from your “Save and finish later” link while your saved application loads. | Until you close the tab |
velo. | Our advisors’ next open times, so the page doesn’t ask the scheduler again on every view. | Up to 5 minutes |
| Cookies | ||
velo_consent | Our own cookie. It remembers the cookie choices you saved, so we don’t ask again. | 180 days |
You can clear all of this in your browser’s settings. The site still works if you do.
7. Calls, Texts and Email
We call, text or email you about your request when you ask us to. We call or text you about offers and other marketing only if you check the optional box on our forms that names Velo Capital Funding. You can opt out of texts by replying STOP, and you can withdraw consent by any reasonable means, including by emailing info@vcfus.com. Our SMS Terms explain the details.
If you unsubscribe from marketing email, we’ll still send messages about a request you’ve made or an agreement you have with us.
If we ever record a call or use a note-taking tool on a call, we’ll tell you at the start of the call and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
8. How We Protect It
This website is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections, and form submissions travel encrypted to our form-delivery provider. Access to lead and application records is limited to the Velo team members who need it to handle your request. We choose service providers that protect the information they handle for us.
No website, email system or storage method is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. Please don’t send Social Security numbers, bank logins or account passwords by email or through our forms.
9. How Long We Keep It
Our info@vcfus.com mailbox is our system of record for funding requests, call requests and the consent choices you make on our forms.
We keep those records for at least five years, because the laws on calls, texts and commercial financing require us to show what you agreed to and when. We keep records longer when the law requires it or when we need them to resolve a dispute, and we delete or de-identify them when we no longer need them.
Information saved in your own browser follows the limits in the table above.
10. Your Choices and Rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you;
- correct information that’s wrong;
- delete information we don’t need to keep by law;
- stop calling or texting you for marketing.
Email info@vcfus.com from the address you gave us, or tell your advisor. We’ll confirm your request and may need to verify your identity before we act on it. Some records must be kept by law, and we’ll tell you if that applies.
Most U.S. state privacy laws don’t cover information about people acting for a business, but we offer these choices to everyone.

This notice applies to California residents, including business owners and their representatives. It describes what we collect on our forms and why.
